Cosequin for Cats is the best! It relieves the arthritis suffered by my sweet 16 year old cat (she actually flows up those stairs again -- no more slow, painful climb for her!) so I value this product GREATLY. Very quick & easy to sprinkle the powder from a capsule in a small amount of her wet cat food each day and she's good to go. Was amazed at how quickly it improved her quality of life - I saw a marked improvement within a week and then every day thereafter. I give my 11 year old cat one capsule sprinkled in his evening wet food 4 times a week for mild arthritis. I've noticed he is slower going up and down stairs. Since being on Cosequin, he is more agile and wants to play more with the two other cats. I give my 9 year old cat one capsule dissolved in a 1/2 tsp of warm water 4 times a week in the evening and administered by a small syringe. He is very finicky and will not eat wet food with this in it. (By the way, it does not dissolve well; you have to stir stir stir!) I started him on this because I read that it helps with bladder health and would not hurt to try. He has been going outside the litter box and many tests and vet visits later revealed that he is in good health. Desperate, I started him on Cosequin and he has not gone outside the litter box since. It's a miracle!

We use this all the time for our boy that has had crystals. It helps with his overall health as recommended by the vet. We wouldn't be without it.

Our two year old cat had a knee injury and our vet told us he had luxating patella (knee) and also hip dysplasia. The expensive knee surgery would mean a long recovery in a crate. We have been giving him Cosequin regularly and his knee hasn't dislocated for months now and he is back to jumping wherever he wants to go! We are hoping that with this medicine we can put off any surgeries till he is older and calmed down a bit.

One of my cats has a bladder disease. The vets do not know why she does but recommended giving her Cosequin as a preventative medicine. Apparently it contains the same substance as the lining of the bladder and helps to maintain a healthy bladder. It works for my cat. When she gets a bladder bout (it isn't an infection), it is very bad with a lot of blood, straining to urinate and much discomfort. A daily dose of one capsule of Cosequin a day has helped to minimize the attacks to one or two a year. Feeding only wet food and mixing water with her food also helps but it is the Cosequin that maintains her bladder health.

My poor cat became very constipated, and I had to take him to the ER. They discovered hip dysplacia, which was hindering him from pooping due to the pain while squatting. My vet recommended this medication to help him with his poor hips. This together with a stool softener has my Nini feeling like a Kitten again.

Cosequin has been a wonderful help to two of our pets. The first benefit is that it helps prevent bladder cysts in one of my cats. This has kept her from having painful procedures done at the vet. I have used this product for what seems like forever. I first used it on an old arthritic cat, and I, who can be a Doubting Thomas, definitely saw an improvement in her comfort level. Using it on a cat now who as a kitten was stepped upon by a horse, leaving a badly smashed back leg. He gets around fine, but I noticed one day he hadn't been grooming his back quarters (lots of mats). I started him on Cosequin and with a little help (not much, he has sharp claws), from me he was able to get around to the back end to groom thosse mats out. Have another cat who was badly injured, and he'll be starting it any day now. They love it sprinkled on their food.

This product helps the joints of my 13 yr old kitty. she doesn't even act like she has any joint problems. And yes they will eat it. I know how you can't trick a cat by putting medicine in there food but this powder inside the pill is flavored and you just sprinkle it in there wet food. My cat had a terrible urinary track infection with crystals in the urine. My vet put her on a new food and added cosequin as a supplement. She believes it helps with inflamations of this type as well. Six months later we checked and everything is still great!

I have been using this product for 2 of my cats for about 2 years and they are both doing wonderful. They went from wanting to do nothing to being playful 13 and 14 year old cats.
