my dog loves these chews, except he doesn't like them when they are too thick. sometimes half of the bag is thick, and he won't take them..possibly because he is older and connot chew the thick ones.

I'm doubtful these chews, all by themselves, will yield the incredible before/after results the photos claim... and we sold a lot of this product at our vet practice back then. For best results, CET chews will work best with freshly scaled teeth and when maintained with regular toothbrushing. These chews are NOT are cure all for severe gingivitis and heavy plaque buildup. Hands on maintenance will always be required of pet owners to ensure optimal dental health in their pets.... meaning, you should really try to get in your pet's mouth regularly to help keep things clean. . CET toothpaste and a soft pet toothbrush, in addition to these chews do make a difference. Best of all, this is one cleaning aid your dog will not reject. My dogs clamor for these treats and enjoy them a lot. The Hextra version does not smell as good as the regular CET chews, and they also leave an orange residue on light coats, just something to keep in mind. This product is not one I'd recommend if you have light carpeting.

Recommend Yes, with caveat: Pieces are inconsistant. Some too thick, some too small, some too thin. Sizes should be consistent for easier digestion.

I purchase the medium size for my 2 Jack Russell Terriers and 1 Italian Greyhound mix and the dogs absolutely LOVE them! Wish they were all coated heavy. Some bags come with very little of the brown beef flavoring on them. Does make a difference to my dogs as they do like to lick it off to get them started on eating the chews. It's VIRBAC/CET fault, but Entirely Pets should let them know. The CET HEXtra Premium Chews keep my dogs breath fresh, postpones dental cleaning, and the dogs love them. They "ask" for them every night. The only issues I have had with these is an inconsistency in the sizes in a bag of medium chews. Some have been smaller than the petite size, while some have been large size, too large for my dogs. I have voiced this concern to Entirely Pets, but they had no satisfactory response. I can only hope they are not the quality control rejects.

Missy, my Corgi had trouble with her gums and was supposed to have a dental cleaning. I bought these for a friend who just adopted a 6 year old dog. The dog loves them, but my friend is concerned because they are beefhide and half way through he tries to swallow a good sized piece (like a person with a tootsie pop, you can't keep licking them, you gotta bite into them...) That is a choking concern for my friend. So, we may try the veggie ones and see if there is the same issue.

I've used the CETs for a few years. I have two miniature schnauzers. The breed is known for having a lot of tarter on their teeth. Mine love the CETs and they really help with the tarter. My vet recommended them and I've told my friends about them. And Entirely Pets has them for a great price instead of buying from the vets!

I have two Jack Russells they each get one medium chew a day. It has not helped their teeth but they seem to like them and its cheaper than purchasing them from the vet.
