Great for removing cat urine. I have a rental house where the tenants let their cats use a bedroom for a litter box! I had to remove carpet, urine had went through to the second story sub floor. I tried other items, nothing worked! Thoroughly soaking the sub floor with Urine Off and it did the trick. After the floor tried, I then painted the sub floor with schellac for additional protection.

Had urine on concrete floor and it neutralized the odor and took out the stains.

It works at getting rid of the smell of cat urine. I have tried many others options including but not limited to: Nature's Miracle; Febreze; Baking Soda and Vinegar; Bissell PetFormula; anything in PetSmart. I found out about urineOff when I got a dog. I works great on dog urine too. It takes the scent out. I can understand that some may not like the smell. I don't like it either. After I treat my carpet I shampoo once it has dried. Urine scent and stain gone and the product scent is going too.

As owner of a multiple cat household, (and dogs too), we have had a few issues with marking. This product removes all odor and traces of the urine better than anything else we have tried, and believe me we have tried everything. It leaves a nice scent after also. Use in conjunction with feliway spray and it will help eliminate even the toughest areas to keep marking to a minimum.

Our cat decided to get into a peeing match between a neighborhood cat through our basement door (which leads to a stairwell accessible from outdoors). We hadn't gone into that area of the basement for a while, and were clueless that this was happening until one hot, humid rainy day where the stench came up the basement stairs into our house. We thought it was the litter box, which I gave a thorough cleaning, but this was not it. After a quick search, I found the area - a wooden door and concrete floor (both exterior and interior). I tried all of the typical products - vinegar (full strength), bleach (full strength), Nature's Miracle, but nothing worked. I did some research online for getting cat urine out of concrete floors, and it was recommended to first clean the floor with TSP (found at Home Depot) to open up the pores of the concrete and then come in with a heavy duty bio-enzymatic cleaner to soak into the concrete and destroy the odor causing elements. I treated the floor with bleach, and let dry for a few days, treated with vinegar and let dry for a few days, before cleaning with the TSP according to manufacturer instructions. This whole time, I barricaded the area off from our cat so he wouldn't get into these chemicals. After the area thoroughly dried (and still smelled at this point - honestly I think it was worse after the TSP treatment because it opened up the pores in the concrete), I doused it with two spray bottles worth of this cleaner and let it dry for a few days.It has been almost a month now, and there's no trace of cat urine. There was about one day of an intense "perfume" smell, but that dissipated pretty quickly in our case. We've had more hot humid rainy days, where there was water coming into other areas of the basement, but NO SMELL!! This is truly a lifesaver, as this area of the basement is mostly finished except the floor, which was painted due to lack of ceiling clearance) and my wife and I refused to hang out and play video games in the basement due to the smell. Now, we are back to throwing darts and playing games down there with our friends. What a relief!

This is very useful. I am able to spray and leave. It soaks into the carpet, does its little bio thing and I don't have to scrub and clean it etc. I just let it dry. It does have a heavy detergent smell, but I prefer that to cat urine. Yes, my cats are so bad that I have to buy it by the gallon. Never again will I try to socialize adult cats.

Greatest product for pets, period. I mostly use this to clean litter boxes when they get emptied, and I always let it soak a bit. It keeps the litter boxes very fresh!Besides it's obvious urine purpose, it's also useful for cleaning up other pet messes like vomit and hairballs (unavoidable with cats from time to time). It also smells really good to me, so I find myself using it to keep kitty beds and even the cat tree "fresh" smelling, even though I'm not actually cleaning urine off of them.IF your pet should have an accident, though, this product works exactly as described. I was able to really test it's urine cleaning ability when I moved cross country with my cat in a carrier. Every day of the trip, I gave her a fresh blanket, and nearly every day she had to pee before we stopped for the evening. This stuff saved all of those urine soaked blankets from stinking up the car or getting thrown away! I liberally soaked them in Urine Off and hung them to dry over night before wrapping them up in plastic baggies and stashing them in the trunk. After arriving at my destination, I washed the pre-treated blankets, and they were as good as new. Anyone that knows the strong scent of cat urine knows this is impressive!

Naughty kitties!! This product is extremely effective at removing stains and odors just like it says. The one gallon container lasts a good long time and the smell is extremely pleasant. I am on my 12th gallon of this stuff (I have a sick cat) and I just LOVE this stuff. My sick cat leaves small marks around the house that the other cats pick up on and spray, so I have to treat the smell to keep the other cats from scenting. Anyone with cats knows how sensitive they are to the smell of another cat's urine, and how quick they are to mark the spot. This stuff, when used according to the directions, is fantastic. I have taken the smell out of really old spots (in a former apartment), on still-wet fresh spots, and even on stains the dogs left. I'm so pleased with urine OFF for cats, I keep a couple bottles on hand just in case. You really do need to soak the spot, and I even recommend covering it to keep it from drying quickly, but I rarely have to treat a spot more than once if I let the enzymes go to work and not dry out for a few days.The scent can be overpowering when it's still wet, but when it dries, it's much milder and I even find it pleasant now.

I have a male cat that ended up with crystals in his urine, causing pain and resulting in him going outside of the litter box. I am still trying to locate all the places he peed, but so far the spots that I have saturated with this product have not started to smell again. I'm optimistic that when I treat all the spots, the lingering urine smell will be gone and I won't have to start replacing carpet. You do have to use a lot of the product and I used a turkey baster that came with a pointed tip for injecting meat so that I can puncture the backing of the carpet and get it all the way through to the padding.

It does what it says it does. Had a cat who urinated on the sofa, it took multiple applications but it did eliminate the odor.

So far, so good ! I did as instructed on the bottle and had one spot on a curio cabinet in the wood that was tough to clean. I sprayed it and let it sit over night wrapped in saran wrapped. Has worked well thus far and have had no more incidents with the cats.

This is the only product on the market that truly works. Don't waist your time and money on anything else. It does have a pretty strong odor of its own. I misted lemon juice over it when it dried and completely neutralized any odor.

This stuff is pretty good. There are times I have to spray a lot and it gets rid of the oder for the most part.

When a dog and cat decided to declare war in my home, on my carpets....this product proved to be the best to help combat the territory war. I have recommended it to others who also found it extremely helpful in prevent further territory marking.

It works as advertised on carpets and a good size container, but the residual fragrance is not the best over time. Recommend for its function.

I had to use it 4 times to get some results from a leather couch (+ wooden floor that I washed with this product just in case). I still have some odors sometimes. Better than normal cleaning product I guess, but not perfect.

Recommended to me by a vet, and works wonders. I bought a house and the previous owners had ferrets... After pulling up the carpets, discovered that the ferrets didn't like using a box apparently. My cats were not impressed. They left puddles immediately and frequently. Long story short, with a few applications they were satisfied and left the old spots alone, and I could carpet again. I have had no problems since. I keep a bunch on hand to clean the occasional slip up (one of my cats is a very very old cat and she doesn't always make it where she needs to be)... This works great.

We have a cat who continues to mark the corners of 3 rooms in our house, we have tried many, many treatments and so far this is far and away the most effective. We have now purchased several Gallons of it, and if needed will purchase more - it removes the urine smell and we couldn't be happier.

I had many issues with my cats urinating in the house and I've tried everything to get it out. Nothing has worked, and the cats continue to return to the same area to urinate again. Recommended by my vet. So far no other product I have used has eliminated odors from accidents and intentional marking as well as this has. As far as keeping them from doing it again in the same spot . . . so far that claim hasn't been realized. If the cat has a spot, he/she is going to use it, period.

This really works to remove odors and it seems to have the effect of stopping my cat from repeat spraying in the cleaned area. I recommend it, and I recommend the black light to show the spots, too, because I was amazed at how large and diffuse the cat spray patterns are - you really have to clean a much larger area than you think you do.

Went through 2 gallons of this trying to lift cat urine smell. I think it works fine but I ended up going with the Bissell Spot Bot Pet Cleaner to really get into the areas and try and clean the smell out of them.

It really did work, and I have told family and friends about it .It really is worth the price!Great job.

It's a little perfume-y for those of you with sensitivities to scents. I have allergies to certain scents but this doesn't bother me. I liken it to a fabreeze, very strong but after a day or so you can't smell it anymore. I've hosed down and blotted this on quite a bit of upholstery and it doesn't leave marks or discoloration and the kitties don't mark or re-mark (which is the main point right?!?). I've used a similar product (odor-mute) which is also great but as it's a powder it's a little more messy. This liquid is nice, just pour and go.

I've been using this product for some years and have found it works as advertised. On a rare occasion it might require a second application.

As our two cats have gotten older, there are places and times (why, I don't know) that they choose to urinate on clothes or carpet. this product has allowed me to keep both the cats and the soiled objects. If you quickly saturate the material, then clean or wash the object, the smell of urine is eliminated. It has been a great help to preserving peace in our home.

You can't beat this stuff...it's great! I use it every week for pet accidents. I think I've read (from other on-line customers) that the smell of the product is strong but that is not my opinion. If you have pets, you should buy this product.

I tried this product with not much hope due to the fact that all other products I've tried have been disappointing. However, this product surprised me. It worked the best out of all the other products I have ever tried including Natures Miracle and Bissel pet remover. That is not so say that all the odor and stain in completely gone, the only thing that can do that is replacing the item that has pee on it but I would recommend this for anyone frustrated with other products.

This is the only such item that we have found to work as effectively as it claims. This is the one item that has enabled us to survive with a cat that shows its displeasure by attacking beds with urination--and we still love her.

We've tried it, so far we've liked it. The cats are now using the litter box instead of the carpet, and that was the goal. I hope that it will stay like that.

We have tried many products and this does better than the others that are commonly found at supermarkets, pet stores, and vets' offices. This is not to say it is perfect. I suppose our bad kitty is just too bad for any product....

The product worked very well for my situation. I used on new carpet without any issues of staining or discoloring. Follow the instructions and cover your area with plastic for a day or two and I believe your results will be better than expected. I also used on concrete and tile as well.

This would be a 5 star review if it hadn't been one little quirk:Cons:1) shape of the jug and handle creates a mess when trying to pour product into a smaller spray bottle - I use two of these. I have experienced a little more waste than I would like. This was solved by a funnel.Pros:1) I like the smell, it's almost fruity. The smell does not bother our cats at all.2) We use multipleboxes for our 6 kitties and this stuff does a remarkable job of cleaning any urine spray off of the sides/edges of the dome. Some of our older cats aren't quite as accurate with the litter box because of hip issues. Urine off cleans old urine smell and stains off of litter box surfaces with one swipe.This is strong stuff. It is working for cat smells (urine, vomit, feces). It isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive.I'll definitely keep using this going forward despite my 3-star review. It seems to do the best job compared to the stuff I've bought off of Amazon and from the Big Box stores.Update: April 2013 - the Spring has brought some scout ants (tiny ones - little black ants I believe) and a spritz on the spot kills them and allows me to clean some of the areas too. For all the different pet safe ant remedies I have tried, this one is AWESOME. Just an extra use for the stuff. Awesome!!!

Seems to work for a time but then the urine odor is right back. I haven't found anything that really works but maybe later I'll have the carpet ripped up and hard wood floors put in. That should keep the cat from wanting to urinate in places she smells the odor. At least I hope so.

I bought this product years ago when I was having an issue with my cat. I used it and a black light before i moved out of my apartment and the apartment complex had no idea that I ever had any issues.

In order to get rid of the urine odor, I followed the directions by placing grocery store plastic bags over the Urine Off overnight. It's remarkable how this stuff works. I've tried Nature's Miracle. It doesn't come close. (If you're looking for an excellent stain cleaner for fresh accidents, Woolite Pet spray with Oxy is THE best.)

I used this on the cement floor when we took up the padding and carpet and neutralized the bare floor before putting down vinyl flooring. We followed the directions of cleaning the floor then spraying the cat urine areas 'til wet then covering with plastic drop cloths. We let it stand almost 48 hrs. and it took all odor away. We then rinsed the floor. I also used it on a very dense medium sized nylon carpet that I took outside to clean. I first high power sprayed it with the hose, then scrubbed it with detergent and a scrub brush on both sides, then rinsed it thoroughly with the hose. When it dried, it still stank. I then placed a shower curtain under it and poured URINE OFF on the affected areas, then wrapped the shower curtain around to cover the area & I anchored it in place, leaving it for 24 hrs. then hosed it off and when it dried it smelled fresh with no trace of urine odor. This produce really works and I will buy more in the future if/when I need more.

This is the MOST effective product for cat urine removal. My cat had a bladder problem and went multiple times in two rooms of the the house. I tried all other off the shelf products which seemed to make the smell worse with every application. Urine Off was very very effective on the the first application but after three application I could no longer smell anything on the carpet and nothing when I entered my house. This product is a miracle worker for those of us with accidental cats. Thank you Amazon for carrying this wonderful product! Now even my vet is carrying it!!!!

I used this product on a rental house. The renter's cats had used to corners of the living area and bedroom to an extent that rotted the carpet wood tack strips. After removing the carpet and strips, I used Urine Off for cats as directed on the bottle. It took a couple of treatments, I actually used it 3 times to make sure. There was a huge difference in odor and after a few days, I was able to have new carpet put in and there is no lingering odor. I have also used the dog urine off with very good results. Great products.

Moved into a house with a large walk out basement. It was a great space but the ugly stinky 1970s carpet made it unlivable. We immediately pulled up the carpet and were horrified that the cat pee had penetrated the carpet/pad and seeped into the concrete foundation. In the corners it even absorbed into the base trim and framing. A couple of years and remodeling projects later it was time to tackle the unused basement. We tried everything on the market and all the home "remedies" in the world to get the stench out. I really thought we made a mistake by buying the house because the basement could not be saved.I bought 3 gallons of Urine Out and it was 100% effective! Sprayed the concrete using a pressure sprayer (twice) and treated the area along the walls about 4 times. For each treatment the area was covered with a plastic tarp and allowed to dry really slow. The chemical/perfumy smell was present during treatments but a few days after it dried the smell totally went away. Our pets are allowed in the area and haven't been tempted to do what the previous owners cats did. I may seem pricey and a lot of time and effort but it's well worth it!!!

While on vacation, our cat decided to use a rug in the foyer as her litter box! We threw away the rug & tried to get the cat urine smell off the floor using regular cleaners without success. We ordered Urine Off. It works great! We used it on our tiled floors without difficulty. The odor was finally gone. I would highly recommend this product!
