This was recommended by my vet for sterile cystitis in one of my cats (Maya/pictured). I have three cats, all over the age of 11 and the vet advised this was a good supplement for all. It cleared up the cystitis issue in the one cat and the others seem to be doing just fine. The cost for this product on this site is the lowest I have discovered and I did quite a bit of searching/research before making my purchase.

My male cat was constantly getting urinary tract infections and being treated with antibiotics every 3 months. After I changed vets, she recommended giving him Cosequin every day, and he hasn't had one since! That was 7 years ago. He is 20 now and I still give it to him, it is now helping with his arthritis too as he still goes up and down the stairs multiple times a day.

I believe if your cat has arthritis, you might want to try this product for yourself. It might help. We are also using an herbal supplement and acupuncture. I believe the acupuncture helps.

My old cat is 19 years and has lived with my family for 17 years. When he moved in with us he came in through the cat door and had dinner, uninvited. If you approached him all he did was attempt to bite. My husband said he thought a cat who was brave enough to come into an unknown door in an unknown house needed to live in that house. We named him "Tinker Longtail", he really did have quite a long tail. When we took him to the vet, much to our surprise, she aged him at probably two years. He was quite small for that age, except for the length of his tail. With a little TLC he quit biting and became a very good pet. However like most animals, including humans, as he became older his joints began to wear out. He can no longer jump onto the bed or the couch. He has lost sight in one eye; when I call him or whistle for him he doesn't look toward the sound, he looks other directions. (Yes, we always whistled for our cats and they came like a lot of dogs do.) There is nothing to be done for the seeing and hearing problems, but I can help his joint usage and pain. Cosequin has made a big difference in his ability to get around, as well as to sit or lie down more comfortably. And the best place to get it? Entirely Pets. I purchased this on a recommendation from a friend for my 15 year old cat. Since starting her on it, she no longer has problems moving around. Her joints no longer seem stiff and she no longer limps after getting up from sleeping. She seems more active, and plays more with her toys. Will keep her on it as long as possible. She seems a lot better!

Our big male tabby is now 13 years old. As a young cat, he would play by himself for hours, batting and chasing toys around the house. Like a goalie, he particularly loves blocking and returning toys flung or kicked in his direction. He had become less active in the past few years and I began grinding up human glucosamine, giving it to him in small doses. Having Cosequin capsules designed for cats is great. The capsules are easiest to open if your fingertips are slightly moist. It would be even better if it were also offered in the form of chewable tablets (as it is for dogs), as I think my cat would like those and it would be a nice alternative to have.

My cats both love these. They consider them a treat and come running when they hear me giggle the bottle. I've heard that all cats are not crazy about them, though and had one cat who didn't like them.

Our 16-year-old kitty has had stiff hips for years. We give her Cosequin daily with her food. It makes a huge difference in how stiff she is. If we're gone for the weekend, so she doesn't get her regular dose, we can tell she is stiffer than when she gets her regular dose. The product comes in capsules that you pull apart and sprinkle the powder on her food. For us, it works best to mix it into moist food (we serve a small serving of moist canned food once a day to both of our cats - such a treat!). Since it's easier to mix Cosequin into moist food, we also feed her small servings of Fresh Pet Select Roasted Meals (moist pebbles) twice a day with Cosequin sprinkled on top. That allows us to give her Cosequin at fairly regular intervals throughout the day.

Two of my cats are on Cosequin. One(a 10 year old) for a urinary/bladder problem and another (a 2 1/2 year old) who broke his hip. Months after surgery he began to limp. The Doc suggested the Cosequin. He has been on it for 3 months and he has not had a problem since. The 10 year old has been on it for a few years. I was taking him for a ultra sound every 2 years and the Doc recently told me the situation has improved somewhat and he did not think bi-yearly ultra sounds were necessary. I love it because it has worked for both my cats.

I use this product on three cats, one of whom is 19+ years old and has arthritis. Our oldest cat started to limp with no evidence of injury. With no improve after a few weeks, our vet recommended Cosequin. The capsules are easily opened and contents mixed with soft food. Our cat ate her food as usual so there was no problem administering Cosequin. After a few weeks we are noticing some improvement in her limp and plan to use it as an ongoing maintenance supplement.

My sweet 15 year old cat, Luna, suffers from arthritis in her joints, and has been losing some mobility/flexibility. I have been giving my cats Cosequin for years. I have two eleven year olds that were highly active kittens. Unfortunately they both sustained hip injuries that the vet said could not be corrected (both from falls, cats may land on their feet but that doesn't mean they won't get hurt). So Cosequin was recommended and it does seem to make a difference in their mobility. I will definitely continue to use this product and would highly recommend it to others. It's also easy to mix with their food.

My vet recommended cosequin for my younger cat when he showed issues of urinary infections. Since he went on it, he's had no further problems. My older cat seems to have joint issues, so he's on it too. The older cat won't eat it in his food. Instead I open the capsule & mix with a little water, then feed it w/ a dropper.

Been using cosequin for about a year now since my cat's hind leg was amputated (vaccine related tumor). She is still moving great even though she is getting a little older and I think it's the result of using cosequin.

We do long term foster care for our local animal shelter. We have used Cosequin for years for older cats with arthritis as well as for bladder health for cats with chronic urinary tract disease. It is reccommended by veterinarians and easy to use. Just sprinkle the contents of a capsule over canned food and mix it in. The cats gobble it up and the ones with arthritis usually become noticably more active.

Our 14 year-old cat has gotten creakier as time goes by, and the Cosequin really helps. If we run out (which I swear to never do again) she's a little slower to get out of bed, limps a bit, and has trouble going down stairs. A daily dose of two capsules for a week, and there is marked improvement. She plays, runs around, and generally moves more easily. I now keep her on a daily dose of two capsules in her wet food, because it's a small price to pay for her quality of life.

I have been adding 3 capsules' worth of Cosequin for cats to a couple of tablespoons of wet food every morning and my kitty appears to be more limber. She is a bit overweight and I'm now controlling her food intake as well.

Our cat "Sadie" just turned 100 years old in May. She has been bothered with arthritis for many years. Our Vet subscribed a bottle of the Cosequin to try. Within about a two to three week period she was able to make it up and down the stairs to her potty box and water supply. She absolutly refuses to take the capsule so I pour the capsule into a little vile and using one of the syringes we have to admister the thyroid medication I draw up the liquid, my wife holds her tilted back and I inject it into her mouth. No more problems with fighting her and trying to choke her into swolling the capsule. She is stll taking the Cosequin, even at 100. I purchased the 4-pack of Cosequin for Cats (80 count) from Entirely Pets basically because it was the best price on the web that I could find. Compared to what I paid for the product from my vet ($32 for one bottle), this was a fabulous value.

A very good product that has worked well for my cat. He no longer pauses going up the stairs and whines when trying to get up on furniture. The is the best price around and I have checked many places on line and off. I received the product in a very short time, quicker than I expected.

Out of the blue, my 7 year old domestic shorthair cat started limping. After a week, I took him to the vet. X-rays showed hip dysplasia on 1 side, & this supplement was recommended. After 2 months on this supplement, I have seen no change in my cat; he still hobbles around like an old man.
