I have two border collies, ages 4 and 14. My old girl had been on a different joint supplement for years with good results. When my vet suggested starting the younger one on glucosamine too I tried this because it was a little more economical. BAD IDEA! It gave my 14 year old severe diarhea and the younger one such bad gas we can't stand to be in same room with her. The treats themself smell pretty bad too.

Our two 60 lb. girl dogs are 13 & 15 and their joints are in really good shape for their ages. They have been on joint meds since they were each about 6 years old.

I bought Joint Max twice. The first time it was great. Dog loved it and it was soft enough that I could push a couple small pills into it that she takes daily. Made it really easy to give her the pills. The last time I bought it it was somewhat dry and pushing pills into it makes it crumble. So...I'm wary of buying it again because I don't know what I'll get. If you get a good batch (a fresh batch?), then I recommend it.

I foster dogs for the local animal shelter. Recently we had a 10+ year old chow/retriever mix (Scotty) come to our home. I've been giving these to my two retrievers for about 6 months. They are just about to turn 8 and I was noticing a little difficulty in getting up and a little stiffness in their legs. I've seen a marked improvement in both of them. They think they are treats and are anxious for one every night. I highly recommend.

Purchased the Joint Max because what the doctor prescribed was so expensive. Axle likes them and looks forward to them on a daily basis. Don't quite know if it's working internally, but he doesn't whine as much since taking the supplement after a lot of exercise when his joints would typically be hurting. That's good enough for me, he likes them and we are now on autoship to make sure we don't run out.

These soft chews are so wonderful, my golden retriever actually walks over and waits for her morning treat every day. I have noticed that they seem to alleviate some of her discomfort and stiff joints.

We purchased these for our 8 year old Yellow Lab because we noticed that the day after long walks he would seem a little stiff and would sometimes limp a little. The difference in him is amazing! He is like a four year old again. The best part is that he loves them. They are his "reward" when we get home from a walk or a hike. I would definitely recommend these if you have an older dog.

The "new" formulation smells way too strongly of artificial bacon/smoke. It's offensive! The dogs still like the flavor, but the humans think it stinks!

I have been using this product for some time now. They recently changed the formula. Not sure what they did but the "soft chews" are not exactly what I would call "soft" anymore. Not too happy about that. I now cut them with a knife so it is easier for the dog to chew since they are much harder now.

My 14 year old lab mix definitely shows improvement with the Triple Formula. We've been using this product for a long time, and it seems to be the most effective. I think the new formula smells so nasty, whereas the smell of the old formula was actually pretty pleasing.

My 12 year old shepherd /chow mix was having major issues getting up and down and climbing stairs and he started to hating the stairs and has even fallen down a few times i had oringally gotten a few of the chews from my cousin but my shepherd decided it tasted so good he stole the bag and chew right though it and ate the remaining pieces of the joint treats but once i saw the sale on it i had to jump on that chance and order a good supply of the great product and at a stronger dose. We have a 7 year old Lab/Chow mix that is starting to suffer for joint problems, after a trip to the Vet, the pills perscribed were for pain, no help, just a lazy dog. I had been giving my three older dogs the pill version and recently switched to the soft chews. My dogs are eleven and twelve years old and have been having problems with their legs. They did improve on the pills, but the soft chews seem to be helping a lot, and my dogs love them. I plan to keep them on the soft chews from now on. I highly recommend this product.

I love these joint chews. They are the only thing I have been able to find that keeps my 14 and 15 year old girls going. I recommend them all the time and have gotten several people to order for their aging puppies. And babies with other joint issues. However. I am constantly amazed at how very long it takes to receive shipments from you. Even with "Express shipping" it takes nearly 2 weeks and I find that REALLY annoying.

Our dog is very picky in what he will eat including treats and most chewable supplements. After his careful inspection he now loves these and arrives when he hears the container being opened. He recently required some medications we simple mold the soft chew around the pill and he takes it easily.

My dog has a fused bone in her front leg and although this doesn't slow her down much, she does need extra support for recurrent inflammation in that leg. I use Joint Max as part of a regimen that also includes prescription drugs and other supplements.

Our two dogs count on their soft chews every night--they consider them treats, it seems, but we see how powerful they are for keeping our older dog mobile. I sincerely think he wouldn't be moving around anymore without them. We used to give them soft chews that didn't contain MSM and got some benefit, though the dogs weren't as old. It really does seem like MSM is the magical ingredient that keeps our old dog going.

Our geriatric (nearing 16) Bichon has been getting these for several years now. He eats them readily (no test; he'll eat anything vaguely food-like, unlike our big dogs), and they seem to have helped slow the degradation of his mobility, though I haven't tried cutting him off to see if he would get worse. Our vet started him on Phycox JS chews, but JointMax is cheaper and comparable. I keep a small airtight tub for a month or two's supply of half chews and that keeps the main tub (16 months' supply of halves) fresher than it would be if it were opened every day. That two-step system is probably a good idea even if you aren't cutting the chews.

I have used these in the past with very good results and then tried others because I wanted to avoid the soybean oil. Everything else I tried was either unremarkable or caused digestive upsets. These are very well tolerated and the positive results are almost immediate. I am giving them to my Standard Poodles aged 14, 12 and 9 and 3 of my Shih Tzus aged 11, 10, 7. I would recommend purchasing them or at least try the penny sample.
